(Rumex acetosa) 50-60 days.      Large Leaf Sorrel is a perennial herb with vibrant, broad, deep green leaves that can grow up to 6-8 inches long. The plant itself reaches a height of 18-24 inches and spreads about 12-18 inches wide. Large Leaf Sorrel produces no true fruit but has small, inconspicuous flowers that bloom in late spring. This variety thrives in partial to full sun and prefers cool weather, although it can tolerate heat with adequate watering.

With a sharp, tangy, lemon-like flavor, sorrel is perfect for fresh salads, soups, sauces, and as a garnish for fish or poultry dishes. It’s also widely used in French cuisine, particularly in sorrel soup. Sorrel is an excellent source of vitamins A and C, and its leaves can be harvested continuously throughout the growing season.
