Helpful Information For Saving Your Seeds
Don’t forget, seeds are live organisms and need to be cared for until it is time to plant them. The best place to store your seeds is in a cool, dry, dark location. A good storage spot is in a sealed glass jar in your refrigerator.
Short Lived Seeds (1-2 years): sweet corn, lupine, okra, onion, parsley, parsnip
Intermediate Seeds (3-4 years): alyssum, asparagus, bean, broccoli, carrot, celery, echinacea, kohlrabi, leek, lettuce, marigold, morning glory, pea, pepper, snapdragon, spinach, sunflower, sweet pea
Long Lived Seeds (4-5 years +): beet, brussels sprouts, cabbage, cantaloupe, cauliflower, chard, collards, cucumber, dent/flint corn, eggplant, endive, kale, mustard, nasturtium, pumpkin, radish, rutabaga, squash, tomato, turnip, watermelon
