Planting Instructions for Sweet William Pink Seeds
Plant Sweet Williams in well-drained, prepared soil. Can start indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost date. Scatter seeds over soil/growing medium in pots and lightly cover with soil. To sow outdoors, direct sow seeds, in full sun(preferably) to part shade, in spring after danger of frost is over. Can scatter seeds to plant and cover with soil, or sow seeds 1/8 in. deep, every 3-6 in., then cover with soil and tamp down lightly. Keep soil moist until seeds germinate. Seeds should germinate in 7-14 days in soil 64-70°F. When seedlings are 2-3 in., thin to 12-18 in. apart. Do not over-water; plants can be left to natural rainfall, except in very dry weather. Pinch wilted blooms to promote a longer blooming season. Leave a few blooms on the plants at the end of the blooming season if you want the plant to reseed itself.
